It has hosted notable guests, underwent renovations in 1981 and 1984, and offers 164 rooms, an English pub, dining facilities, and lush gardens. Known for its old English country inn decor, the Inn’s rich floral heritage and ongoing care by dedicated owners make it a unique and welcoming destination.
Revival and Renovation
For generations, the Historic Santa Maria Inn has been a gathering place for travelers from around the world, including presidents, ambassadors, and entertainers. With 164 rooms, an English pub, and tranquil gardens, the Inn blends classic character with relaxed California hospitality. Under the ownership of Hardy and Judy Hearn and Robert and Blanche Hollingsead since 1999, the Inn has been carefully maintained and enhanced with a focus on preserving its unique history and timeless appeal.
